My quest for the perfect winter boot for the outdoor & nature photographer on the move, has led me to try out a pair of Vasque Snowburban UltraDry™ Winter Boots. Fortunately for me, the Columbia Men’s Bugaboot® Plus XTM Omni-Heat Winter Boots had so thoroughly disappointed me, or I never would have gone out to find this rare jewel. I’ve now started my second season with these boots. This year’s model seems unchanged and should offer all of the same wonderful characteristics. Unlike many manufacturers Vasque has stuck to a traditional build, no cheap plastic injection uppers. The Vasque Snowburban UltraDry™ Winter Boot is a rugged quality build leather winter boot. It’s surprisingly lightweight, well insulated and the waterproofing membrane breathe’s almost as well as GORE-TEX, keeping your feet warm and dry.
